Removing Paint From Your Hair

You can use turpentine or mineral spirits (paint thinner) to remove paint from your hair. However, these products are very strong and therefore can have negative effects, not to mention the rather strong smell they emit. In addition, if you are dyeing, such products can remove the color of your hair and also much damage these.

Here are some suggestions to remove paint from your hair:

For water-based paint, simply wet the hair and apply a generous amount of shampoo on them. If the paint has dried in question, then you should probably let the shampoo sit on the paint spots for recent soft. Once the soft paint, use a fine tooth comb to gently remove hair. After removing the paint, you can rinse your hair normally and use a good after-shampoo to smooth locks.

For oil painting, use olive oil. Apply the oil on the spots of paint in the hair and try to remove the paint with a fine tooth comb. If the paint is dry or where there is a lot of paint, you should apply oil generously and wrap the hair in plastic wrap to allow the oil to soak up the paint for a few hours. Once the softened paint (and when the oil is sufficiently penetrated into the hair), you can begin to remove the paint hair with the comb. Then wash the hair with your favorite shampoo and repeat until the hair regains its natural condition. One of the upsides is the fact that olive oil is a very good treatment for hair.
